We are looking for a talented and passionate AWS certified DevOps Engineer to help build and manage a world-class SaaS apps infrastructure. You’ll use your knowledge of Linux and software development as you help ensure the reliability and performance of a large and diverse tech stack. You will directly engage with development teams to provide Ops-relevant advice and feedback, Additionally, you will continually improve the velocity of our deployment pipeline through automation and monitoring.

We aim to leverage technologies like Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Lambda, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB and Docker to build a reliable, secure, self-service system and rapidly scale services.

Requirements:

  • Should have deep experience of plan and build of SaaS based platforms
  • You should be an AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer- Professional
  • Strong understanding of Chef / Puppet / Ansible /Docker /
  • Scripting skills 
  • Excellent Linux administration skills with knowledge of storage services SAN / NAS etc
  • Excellent understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers (Apache, nginx), caching, application servers, and load balancers
  • In-depth understanding of Load balancers and Firewall / VPN configuration
  • Exposure to infrastructure Monitoring Tools like Nagios. Cacti, Zabbix etc
  • Exposure to log management and log analysis tools like Splunk
  • Understanding RDBMS (MySQL), NoSQL
  • Knowledge of message queuing and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
  • Familiarity with loose coupling and stateless systems
  • Understanding of different consistency models in distributed systems
  • Experience with CDN, SSLs and performance concepts
  • Network experience with route tables, access control lists, firewalls, NAT, HTTP, DNS, IP & OSI Network
  • Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON
  • Work experience with information and application security including public key encryption, SSH, access credentials, & X.509 certificates
  • Git or similar version controls system experience
  • Experience within the LAMP environment.
  • Good understanding of security issues in development.
  • Computer Science degree or similar level of tertiary education.
  • Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritise multiple, concurrent tasks
  • Experience working on a large-scale system to make it faster, more scalable, and fault-tolerant.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, security management protocol, intrusion detection, SOC 1/2 or SSAE 16 would be a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Manage deploys and release
  • Plan, build and manage a global scaling infrastructure
  • Help development team to grow and enable development
  • Develop and advocate operational best practices to technical and product teams
  • Drive process and company-wide communication, including post mortems, incident reports and project lifecycle documentation
  • Drive automation, monitoring and horizontal scalability of key systems
  • Remove single point of failures, reliability weak points and performance bottlenecks
  • Ensure that proactive and efficient monitoring is in place for all our vital microservices, while an advanced alarming system is notifying us for unusual behaviour
